error message when retrieving messages

hi when I try send and receive, i get an error message saying Outlook is
unable to connect to your incoming POP3 servier.

how do i fix?

Have you checked your ISP's website to verify that you have the correct POP3
settings configured in Outlook?
Are there any error numbers?
