Since I couldn't solve my .pst corrupted folder problem, I upgraded
fromOffice 2000 to Office 2003.

Outlook 2003 appears to give me access to my old .pst file as well as the
new .pst file.

However, when I open Outlook 2003, I get an error message "An
extensionfailed to initialize. Can't open file ectend.dat."

That file appears in my Windows Explorer folder for Outlook so I don't know
why it cant find it.

When I click OK, it opens Outlook 2003 OK.

Advice to get rid of the error message?

Delete the extend.dat file. It won't hurt anything and Outlook will just
rebuild it.
