I recently bought a Toshiba laptop and loaded most of my
files from my Sony Vaio laptop to this new computer.
Every time I try to open some folders (not all), I get
two strange error messages and windows explorer
automatically shuts down.

Error #1 is:
The exception unknown software exception (0xc015000f)
occured in the application at location 0x77f6fca7

Error #2 is:

The instruction at "0x5cb08b0d" referenced memory
at "0x006d0083". The memory could not be "read".

Any idea what this means? Interestingly, I transferred
the same file to two other computers, one a sony vaio
desktop which can view all the contents of all folders
without any problems and the other is a Emachines laptop
that has the same problem as the Toshiba?????

Which file(s) are you talking about? Program files? Data files? can you give
examples?
