error message when clicking on help topic in word

I get a "error starting MS help" when clicking on a help topic on the task
pane. I have used the
1) detect and repair wizard in help
2) uninstalled and installed the office program
and still get the same message. What else can I do?
I running Office Standard for Students and Teachers on Windows XP
Professional.
 
Try repairing Internet Explorer. The two functions are related.
