Error message: "Setup failed to launch Installation Engine!"

I'm trying to install and run an application from a disc, but when I run the
disc, I get the message: Error: Setup failed to launch Installation engine:
Calss not Registered". And consequently the installation stops. I've tried to
disable my anti-virus, firewall, and other simillar programs while running
the disc but no luck so far. Any solutions? Please help.

According to my experience, i was facing the same error while installing a
Share Market software - "Class Not Registered". Then I search the Net and
download Microsoft Virtual Machine. After installing MVM the error gone. You
can try MVM once.

what is the application u are trying to install ? here's few links that will
