Error Message related to 2009 dates

I am using the criteria of "Between [Startdate] and [Enddate]" on a query
that I generate queries and reports, with totals and averages, for month end
reports. Everything worked fine in 2008 and still does when Startdate =
xx/xx/2008 and Enddate = xx/xx/2008. But when I try and have a Startdate or
Enddate = xx/xx/2009, I get this error message: "This expression is typed
incorrectly, or it is too complex to be evaluated. For example, a numeric
expression may contain too many complicated elements. Try simplifying the
expression by assigning part of the expression to variables."
I am not sure what I do to follow that suggestion or fix my date criteria.
When I delete the criteria completely, some reports and queries won't run and
give me the error, "Divided by zero".
Please let me know what I can try to fix the date issue.
Thanks,

This question is the same as "Startdate Enddate Criteria Error Message" I
didn't think this one posted to the group. My apologies.
