On boot up I get the following error:

could not load the target dllC program files\backweb\backweb
client\6.3.2.62\program back web dll.error code 126

It has something to do with HP, but can't figure out what program is causing
it or how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Tiffany

BackWeb is a software package used by HP for System updating.
Not necessarily a needed application. My recommendation would
be remove it, not repair it. You might check Add/Remove programs
in Control Panel to see if it's listed as a Stand-Alone app. In some
cases you would need to remove HP utilities to rid yourself of it.
OEM PCs normally come from the factory loaded down with all types
of non-essential or Value added junk that just bogs the computer
down with extra processes and services.

It's probably one of HP's updaters. Use the System Configuration Utility
to stop it from starting with Windows.

Can you find the corresponding error in Event Viewer and post a copy.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools, Event
Viewer.
HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308427&Produc...

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event Viewer.
Now
start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of the message. This
will paste
the info from the Event Viewer Error Report complete with links into the
message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer.
