error message Operation failed...An object cannot be found

Hi, I am setting up a new laptop with office 2003. I have set up outlook with
my existing Earthlink email account. When I click send and receive I get the
error " Operation failed an object cannot be found. I am running Nortan
antivirus. Any ideas? Thanks, Kat
