Error message opening a file due to too many different cell formats

What can be done to fix this problem? There are 63 sheets
in this workbook. There has been a lot of copying and
pasting. Now the workbook won't open because there are
too many different cell formats.

Though I'm not sure it will help if you can't open your file anymore

Thanks for the article reference. A quick look at doesn't
enlighten me as to how to solve my problem, because the
problem at this point is actually not being able to open
the file. Any other suggestions?

just as a guess. Try opening the file with OpenOffice
(www.openoffice.org). Maybe this program is able to open your file.

Thank you, it worked seamlessly!! I downloaded, opened,
saved as, and now the file works in Excel too!
