Good day

I have microsoft outlook 2003 on a domain on windows server 2000,when
accessing the outlook I receive an error message:
'Your mailbox is temporarily unavailable because another e-mail message is
being delivered to it or another mail application is accessing it. The
server responded: -ERR maildrop already locked'

To piggyback this entry:

Amjad - I found another instance of this tied to McAfee. I don't know if it
will help your situation, but here is a link to the thread:
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...&p=1&tid=bb3c9f5a-a8ba-494a-bf17-139160272e09

I have a client encountering the same error - POP3 email, Norton AV,
WinXP-SP2, Outlook2K7. However, the existing fixes I found are not working.

I have tried disabling Norton and even deleted and recreated the POP3
account on the server (thinking that was the culprit), but the error
persists. 75% of the time the "Mailbox temporarily unavailable " error pops
up when hitting Send/Receive. Things _seem_ to be pointing to an Outlook
issue, but I can't figure out the culprit.

Any ideas on this would be appreciated.
