Error message on opening Access 2007

Since converting to 2007, I get an error message: "The form name
"frmAdminCentres[+ several Chinese characters]" is either misspelled or
refers to a form that doesn't exist" followed by some advice referring to
Action Failed dialogue boxes and macros.

If I click OK (a total of 11 times) this error message is succeeded by
similar messages referring variously to "Form1" and "Form2", before the
database opens normally.

The form names listed (minus the Chinese characters!!) refer to forms which
have long since been deleted from the database. I don't know much about
macros, but I have followed various instructions but am unable to find any
reference to the forms in question. Nor do they seem to be the 'startup'
objects (or at least, I can't identify them).

All offers of help to resolve this will be gratefully received!

I should add that the advice relating to Action Failed dialogue boxes etc.
says that if the form anme is in macro, a window will open when I click OK.
It doesn't, so I presume it is not in a macro anyway?

This is very bizarre. Try importing all the objects into a new
database and see what happens then.

Thanks Tony. That seems to have done the trick - the only thing I am a bit
worried about is that the 'old' database was 96,828 KB and the new one is
only 43,136 KB!??! Do you think I should hang on to the original in case only
half of it is actually 'there'?

That makes sense. Importing would be similar to doing a compact and
repair.

I always do. I archive old copies of my FE MDB for a few weeks but
leaving them in the same folder so they're part of my twice or three
times a week backup. Then I zip them and archive them elsewhere on my
hard drive, etc, etc. I've hardly ever had to go back more than a few
hours but I'm a paranoid pessimist.
