error message on install

Installing xp upgrade from windows 98,
Getting message that Window nt has found 0k of low
memory. Needs 512k. Won't let me go any further.
Any ideas

old dos system need low memory to store some system file.
windows98 use it so your low memory are not enough.

if you need not update your windows98.you should better
make a full clean install .
if you have many useful softwares in windows98,and you
want to update.maybe some other one can give you help.
