Rob

I have a column of numbers that I wish to do an AVERAGE on. The cells go

from G3 to G25, and the results go into cell S25. Cell S25 contains the equation

= AVERAGE(G3:G25) and gives me an error "Formula omits cells in region" . Why

am I getting this error ? The same happens to any other part of this same column

if I use the Average button on the Standard toolbar. The column begins with the

following list of numbers :

357134

426000

746000

2251800

722000

500600

583698

779332

1476000

1670370

1591227

816197

846793

497200

623158

524000

630200

550032

709000

709200

765600

566000

The numbers were entered from a VB Safe Array formatted as Single. Could this

have something to do with the error message ?

Is the error message one of those green triangle type error messages. If so, It is just excel guessing that you probably want to average all the numbers in the column would be my guess.

Yes, that is the case. How do I clear the green triangle ?

Hi Rob
just click on the exclamation mark (which should appear if you move
your mouse over this triangle), choose Options from the context menu
and disable the error messages
