Error Message is making me crash

I keep getting the error message C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/XLIBGF264.DLL and it
seems that shortly after I recieve this error my computer crashes when trying
to run certain programs. I have repaired my registry, cleaned and
defragmented my files and folders, ran virus scans and nothing seems to help.
Hopefully this will.

rename the dll
with an extension like
xxx and reboot.

should be able to
function normally again.

if not then boot into
safemode w/networking
and give us a status.
