I am trying to update my driver for an intel 82945g express chipset vidio
card, when I run the .exe from intel, MS stops it and says "the drive being
installed is not validated for this computer..." and the instal stops. This
is a driver from intel to update the card for windows vista, do this people
not talk to each other. How can I work around this??

Call Tech Support for the manufacturer of the driver.

I just updated mine via Windows Update,,,, you could have the wrong
driver,,,,, is there an "m" or other digit after the 945g? Also its possible
you "might" already have that diver or newer via Windows Update. The
"m" in question here means mobile and there are other special signatures
to the Intel 945 series.
