Error Message for multiple users

I am having a problem with my accss 97 DB. I changed the Data Type from text
to memo in my table and now I get an error message stating microsoft DB jet
engine has stopped because multiple users are trying to change the same data
although I am the only one using it. I removed the three pieces from my table
and also from my queries. I made sure that nothing was bound to these pieces
but that still did not work. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Try a repair and a compact and see if there is a file called
"YOURFILENAME.LDB" (substitute you file's name, but look for the LDB file
extension. If so delete it first.
