if you go in to Start, Run type msconfig, run you can turn it off in the startup option there will be 2 of them 1 in caps, 1 is not, disable it on startup but it just hides the problem I am searching also and yes everyone thinks we are crazy I have search the internet and found answers but cant pay for them

I called the PC manufacturer's help desk, because I get exactly the same error at shutdown...saying you must hit end program. I was told I would either need to reload the rundll32.exe file if I could find it, or reload xp. I don't have a CD either but there is a copy if you hit pf11 at start up ...but if I do that I will loose everything loaded on my PC ..so I am living with the problem for now.
