I ran a spy ware software and deleted svchost.exe. Now when ever I change
profiles the message comes up that it can't find C:windows\svchost.exe. I
know that windows runs this file. Another site suggest that svchosts.exe is a
trojan. If the file that I deleted is not then how do I get it back and
reinstall it where it belongs? Note the s at the end of the latter svchost.

A repair install will not fix this problem, is completely unnecessary
and a near-last resort for *some* OS problems. Locating and removing
registry entries or startup items that call c:\windows\svchost will. The
bonafide svchost file is in c:\windows\system32, not in c:\windows,
bonehead. Quit misleading people with your ignorance while hiding behind
your undeserved title.
