error message 'an error occured saving import/export specification

In attempting to export data from either a file or a query or a table in MS
Access the following message pops up:

An error occured attempting to save import/export specification
...specpath,specname

Any suggestions?

I can't find any useful information about this error, which suggests
it's a rare one and makes me feel it may be a symptom of a corrupted mdb
file - especially if you can export data and save specifications
normally in anothe database.
