Error message after XP SP2 installation

One of my client PCs has just got Windows XP SP2 installed. Ever since that,
he gets the message "The system has detected tampering with your registered
product type. This is a violation of your software license...". Any idea
why and how to get rid of it? The other client PCs do not have this problem
after the XP SP2 installation.

Thanks for the link, Will. It doesn't apply to our situation. We are
upgrading all our client PCs from Windows XP to Windows XP SP2, simply by
running WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe. Most of the PCs have worked fine
except this one.
