Error message "Accessing Microsoft Outlook failed"

I used to have Outlook Express on one of my machines and recently
removed it through the Windows add/remove, then I installed Microsoft
office 2007 which includes Outlook. When the computer starts I now get
the error message "Accessing Microsoft Outlook failed".
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to stop this
from happening. The machine is running Windows XP SP3(home).

Did you configure it already?
It sounds like you have something installed that wants to run Outlook
automatically at startup. When you find that application, you probably have
found your answer as well.
