Error message 3343 unrecognize database format

I created a database for the management information regarding a kid's summer
camp. The database has worked fine until just recently. When I tried to
open the database, I receive an error message that indicated the the database
format was not recognized. I do not remember doing anything that would have
cause such an error. do you have anything suggestions as to how I can repair
the database. At this point the program will not let me enter the database.

First you will want to back up the MDB file. Then open Access and go to
"Tools" then to "Compact and Repair" and select the database (not the one
you backed up) and see if that corrects the problem. If not try creating a
new MDB and importing all the objects over to the new one from the corrupt
database.

Many things can cause corruption. The most common I've seen lately is one
user not having the latest Office Service Packs installed.
