Error Message 25099 when Installing Java

I use to have Java installed and mistakenly uninstalled it. Now when I try to
re-install I get this error message "Error 25099 Unzipping Core Files Failed"
Can anyone advise me of what to do next. I can't play on game sites. Thanks
so much!

There is a suggestion here, to check the Task Manager. It is possible
there are some Java processes that are still running, and they're part
of your woes.

This is a Java problem, rather than a Windows problem. Try the steps in
this Sun Microsystems article:

"Error: 25099 during Java installation"
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/error_25099.xml

If that doesn't fix it, your best bet will be to ask in the Java forums:
http://forums.java.net/jive/index.jspa

Java is the product of Sun Microsystems (http://www.sun.com). By legal
agreement, Microsoft Corporation cannot ship any form of Java runtime in
Windows.

Hope it helps,

I am having the same problem, but the solution referenced below does not fix
my problem. The process it references is not running. Does anyone have
another solution?
