error loading os

My hard drive crashed so i installed a new one and now i
cant get xp pro to load. I've try to format and
everything but no luck. If i use the six bootable disk i
get the error message "file dimo.sys caused an unexpected
error (4096) at line 5882 in
d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\setup.c . does anyone know
what i can do to get it reloaded.

My guess is bad RAM.
Even if you've been using the RAM for years, I think it's
bad now.

Other possibles:
bad or wrong drive data ribbon(s)
bad CDROM drive
