After installing Window XP home updates and restarting my laptop, I continue to receive the above error with clicking OK being the only option available. Upon clicking OK the computer trys to reboot and returns the same error message.

Starting in Safe Mode I received Safe Mode in all four corners of the screen, but at the top it reads (Build 2600.xpsp2,030422-1633:SP1)

Can you please help.

Thanks

Kinda sounds like the Sasser worm, 1-866-PC Safety

Or www.microsoft.com/downloads & look for sasser info

Hi,

Were you connected to the internet during setup or immediately afterwards
before installing any updates? Was the firewall enabled?
