Error in WMM2 when saving 8G DV (AVI) file on NTFS drive.

I am continuing to have trouble saving a movie in Windows
Movie Maker 2 as a DV-AVI (PAL) file. This is bugging me
as in every other respect WMM2 is by far the best home
video editor I have used yet.

I was able to save the file OK until I got to a certain
size (may or may not be relevant). The projected file
size at present is 7.826GB when I set the saving
parameters. After what seems to be a consistent 10% of
the file is rendered, the process generates an error
(which I have submitted to microsoft). OS is Win XP. Hard
Drive is actually 2 Serial ATI drives in RAID 0 with two
partitions. Both the partition I'm writing the file to
(D) and the partition the program is on (C) are using the
NTFS file system. D partition has >160GB available so
should handle this file size. If I split the movie into
two projects and save to video as two separate avi files,
each approx half the size that the one that is creating
the error would be, I can render each half of the movie
OK, so I don't think there is any embedded error in the
video or project. I just can't save the whole thing.

I think I have solved this problem. Error has not
occurred since I unchecked Save Autotrecover under
Tools/Options/General. I assume there is a conflict when
autosave tries to save the project while a large file is
being saved as a movie.
