error in win 2000

[Julio]

I have a computer with win2000 installed and also just
installed Maya 5.0 software on it. the problem is that
after I installed it I defrag the hard drive and when
finished a screen poped saying MMC.EXE generated errors
and windows has to be restarted . Can somebody help or
explain why I'm having this problem?

Hello,

Unfortunately, I'm not sure why MMC errors out at the end of a defrag. Have
you run "sfc /scannow" to make sure that all of your system files are still
legit?
