Error in outlook 2003 with notes.

I am using outlook 2003 (11.8010.8028) SP2

Any time I add, change, or save a new note and then leave the computer
idle or try to close outlook I get an error.

Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not
valid.

I click ok and then get this error:

The note will close and your changes will be lost

When I am finished with the note I click the X to close it. I have to
use task manager to close outlook. Next time I load outlook the notes
are saved just like I had them.

I have read many other post about this problem but have not found one
that will fix it. This is a 5 month old computer with no sync software
installed.

I am having the exact same problem as James. Outlook 2003 on Windows XP
Pro, all service packs and updates are installed. Outlook works fine in
every other way excpet for this issue with the notes.

I have exported all of my mailbox items to a .pst file and then deleted
my entire mailbox from the server, then created a new mailbox and
imported all of my items. The problem still exists.

If I go into the notes and I drag all of my notes out of the notes
folder and onto my desktop the problem seems to go away. But, as soon
as I create a brand new note in the notes folder the problem returns.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions we could try I, and I'm sure
James as well, would really appreciate them.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Did you ever get a fix for this problem ?

I am having exactly the same problem. This is pretty frustrating. Can
anyone suggest a real solution for it? I have used SCANPST.EXE to make
sure that the .pst file is ok.

I found the solution!

The culprit was the COM add-in called "Windows Live Local for Outlook".
I un-checked it in the Outlook advanced options dialog, and that made
the problem go away.

Hooray!
