error in MSHTML.DLL

I am getting very frequent error that reads as follows:

Explorer has caused an error in MSHTML.DLL. Explorer will
now close. If you continue to experience problems, try
restarting your computer.

Does anyone know what is causing this and how to stop it?
My computer is about 3 years old and has been working with
very few problems until lately. Now I get bumped off all
the time due to this error. Restarting does not help.

Thanks in advance for any advice, tips, etc., you can
provide.

Ths may fix things for you.

There are (unfortunately) many other possibilities. If removing malware
doesn't fix things, go to
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/internet_explorer2.htm and scroll down to
SPECIFIC ERRORS.
