1. Version of Word?

2. Type of data source?

3. How many records?

4. Please quote the entire error message, exactly as it appears

Hi =?Utf-8?B?Qm9iIEI=?=,
Word 2003, Source: Export file from Paradigm ( Export.doc) , 1100 records.
Error Message: "Word could not finish merging these Documents or Inserting

The following link is the result of a Knowledge Base search on the error
message. Check the articles and see if the causes in any of them could apply
to your situation

From a quick perusal, I'm wondering if the document generated by Paradigm may
contain invalid characters or something along those lines?

You were right. There were quotation marks ( " ) in some of incoming data.
The Knowledge Base 0038 error indicates this is invalid data.
