Error in addition in Excel 2000

If I put values in cells A1, B1 C1 and put formulae in Cell G1 as =A1+B1+C1
or any other cell in the same row and execute it and subsequently if a value
is given in cell D1 or any other before G1 the value is automatically added
in G1.
