Error embedding picture to bound object frame in access?

I have set up a table with an OLE object field, and created a form with a
bound object frame that uses the field as its control source in a mdb. My
problem arises when I try to embed (or link) a bmp (or any other graphic
file) into it. The database does not respond, and I have to end task in
order to then do anything.

Has anyone come across this sort of thing before?

I have seen this happen if you have:
1) Virus software running. Try temporarlily diabling your virus software.

2) The Application that is currently registered to display the Image file
type(s) you are trying to insert can not act as a valid OLE server for
images. To test, instead of inserting an existing file, try inserting a new
PaintBrush Image.
