error during XP reinstallation

While trying to reinstall (upgrade from the xp cd) I
received this message "unregmp2.exe-Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located in
the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL."

I click the OK button and it does nothing,I try to "x" out
and it does nothing.I turn the computer off and it
automatically restarts the reinstallation and stops again
at the same point. I can't get it to stop reinstalling or
to go beyond this point in the reinstallation.

I know this isn't very technical but if you click ok about 80 times it does get past the error eventually and installs fine.

It did push past it finally and install,but now it will
not allow me to make an internet connection.I uninstalled
and reinstalled my modem and am using my servers CD it
goes through all the setup then says "Error creating
profile" and will not make a network connection.I spoke
with tech support at my ISP and they are saying it is
something wrong w/my xp?
