For some reason i need to uninstall the service pack 2.
I made it trought Add & Remove Programs in the Control Panel, the wizard
completed the first part of uninstallation, then the wizard change to the
'Remove files' and 'Copy files' screen, 'Remove..' finished but when it
change to 'Copy ...' there was a crash in the system. When I restart the
system doesn´t work even in the SECURE MODE...

I supouse that it didn´t finish to copy the system files, and i guess that
if i copy them manually it would work... in such a case, which files must be
copied? from what folder to what folder?

Thanks

replacing files manually isn't really an option, and I'll bet I'm not the
only one wondering why you had to uninstall SP2. Still, if you can boot the
thing up,I would reinstall it (which hopefully will work) and then uninstall
it, if you insist. Otherwise you may need to do a repair install.

You mean safe mode. No way to know what files. Do a repair install.

you know, it was a recomendation from HP for the laptop model i'm using...
they say it's too old and must not support SP2...
