Error during booting

macho

My computer was reformatted and re-installed a week ago.
While re-installing programs, I am getting a following error during booting:

systemroot\Windows\System32\autochk.exe program not found -- skipping
autochek.

When I checked., autochk.exe (588.800B) is sitting under Windows\System32\.
Please tell me what this error is about. I am wondering whether I should
re-install WinXP Pro or not.
TIA, Satoshi

Chkdsk.exe or Autochk.exe starts when you try to shut down or restart your computer

Hi,

Click start/run, type cmd and click ok. From the prompt, run "chkntfs /d"
and hit <enter>. This should eliminate the autochk prompt. I would also
replace the existing autochk.exe file in the system32 folder with one from
the \dllcache sub-folder (just delete the one in system32 and reboot, SFC
will do this for you).
