I have had installation and uninstall problems with Symantec NIS 2005. Have
implemented "fixes" from 12 Symantec Knowledgebase Articles. Symantec has
installation/uninstall problems with 2005 products, but TechSupport says
"they do not yet know the exact cause."
Through the helpful advice from these MS Discussion Groups I have been able
to manually delete 99% of all Symantec files from my computers. I am left
with files in just one last folder(and its subfolder). C
rogram Files\Common
Files\Symantec Shared\ (and its sub folder:SPBBC).
The Error Prompt says that access is denied. Make sure disk is not full,
write-protected,or file not in use. The process tab under Task Manager
doesn't show any of the subject files. I have seen a reference to using
command prompts to delete files but I am not familiar with that.
I appreciate any knowledgeable advice. Thanks
