Error - Could not load object because it is not on this machine.

This has started happening every time I open a PPT presentation. It happens
even on PPTs that have been created 100% on my machine. I have only had 1
PPT that had an embedded object from another machine. I have to click OK
past the message at least 25 times before the presentation loads. Once the
PPT is open there is nothing missing so all the objects must be loading
regardless of the error. Any idas on how to stop this from happening? Is
there an issue with the presentations or my PC?

Let's take the PPT files out of the loop entirely. What happens if you just
start PowerPoint (ie, Start, Programs, etc etc) rather than doubleclicking a
PPT file?
