Error Code concerning Activation

When starting up my system today I got the following
message:

"A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking
the license on this computer. Error Code 0x8007007e"

Clicking 'OK' just shuts down the system.

Any suggestions on how to fix this.

Last night my very stable XP install decided that it had
to be activated again. I used the phone activation and it
worked fine. I would like to know why XP would suddenly
lose it's activation key, very bizar. Atleast I coule get
a new license, I guess you are not that lucky.
