error accessing file

We have an automated document-production system,
productin "reports" that use a scanned 8 1/2 x 11"
document as the background, and data fields to fill in the
appropriate information.

We have been using this successfully for some time until
today, when we receive an error message "Error Accessing
File. Network connection may have been lost." All other
data access seems operational, both read and write, but
all of our standard "report" (automated documents) are not
accessing.

The module that shows up when when the system stops is at
a general statement "Option Compare Database"

I tried restoring the database to the state it was in
several days back, thinking we may have kinked something
in the modules recently while tweaking, but we get the
same error message running last Friday's database. Any
suggestions on what's up with this?

Van: Thanks for the reply. I did look at that article, and
it appears that our problem arose when I copied and pasted
one report to create a new report. I'm looking more
closely at it now after your suggestion.

The knowledge base article states that the problem occurs
if you do the copy/paste when Microsoft Access 2000 and
version 6.3.91.8 of the Vbe6.dll file are installed on the
computer. This is in fact the case at my station.

The Microsoft resolution requires 1. a computer without
the vbe6.dll file or 2. restoring a good backup copy of
the database.

We'll see what comes from these.

Thanks again.
