ERROR 553 - allowed rcpthosts

Here is the error message I get in OL 2003. I do not get in Outlook on
another PC.

I have tried adding the recipient and her domain to the respective allowed
lists. Still the same thing. The other PC is not running Outlook 2003. It
is another version of Outlook - maybe XP.

I thought I placed it under the wrong topic. I also thought that it would be
easier for future correspondents to find it with the error number in the
subject field. So would it be too much trouble to respond here instead of
the original place?

In answer to your technical question as to whether I can send to other
domains, I have not tried it yet this morning. When I first set it up with
the Secure Authentication I got the error back saying my email host did not
support this. Once I unchecked this box, I had no problems in either Outlook
Express on this machine or Outlook on the other machine.

I figured out my problem. I had not set up the "Outgoing Server" tab after
clicking the "More Settings" button. Once I checked the "requires
authentication" box (not the same as the "Secure Password Authentication"
option, which my particular setup does not use) and filled in the
information, it worked fine.
