Error 5 : Config.msi

I have this error message that pops up when I attempt to
install any software or uninstall any software on my W2k
advanced server.

Win2000 Administration Tools Installation

Could not set file security for file C:\config.msi\
error 5: Verify that you have sufficient privaledges to
modify the security permissions for this file.

Can anyone give me any feedback as to what the problem is?

It's a rights issue with the c:\ directory. To get around it, create an
empty file called "c:\config.msi" & give yourself full control of it. Your
install should work now. Be aware that the permissions of the file may be
overwritten the next time group policy is applied.
