Whenever I try to access certain features of non-
microsoft programs, I get the message that Windows
Installer is installing DAO. After a partial
installation, I get the message "The feature you are
trying to use is on a network resource which is
Unavailable". The problem occurs when opening Corel Draw
and when opening the "Clone" portion of Corel Photopaint
9. I have traced information on this type problem to
Microsoft Knowledge Database Article-258847. This
article gives workarounds for Windows 2000 and Windows NT
4.0. This info is not much use since I have Windows XP.
Is there a workaround procedure for Windows XP?
Thanks for any help your can give me.

I don't have a specific answer for you, but you can try the workaround
for Win2k.
