Error 1324 character in My Pictures

Each time I try to install on a Windows XP Home edition
PC I get the 1324 error saying there is an invalid
character relating to the My Pictures Folder. I did a
systems repair by starting from the systems CD and
running repair counsole but still get the error. This is
a client PC and I cannot find a problem with the
operating system. Where do I look to resolve?

This error is one of a number that are generic Windows Installer messages
that you can get when installing Microsoft Antispyware.

This is probably why waynen posted to the .install newsgroup

and other articles I looked at tie this to either an improper character in
the path or folder name in question, or a corrupted Windows Installer.

Thank you Bill, I'll give it a try. There are 2 PC on a
Linksys local hub and one installed fine and the other is
giving me the problem. I'd like to resolve. I'm a new
Partner and have a lot to learn yet. The PC giving me a
problem was upgraded from Windows 98 SE and I wonder if
this is a source of the problem? It also seems to be
haveing MS Acess problems. I also did an Office Pro
repair without resolution.

The installer I was using was downloaded each time from
the Antispyware home page. The PC has no virus or other
Melware.

so far, have not encountered any post on installing MSAS, only MSN 7.
