error 1316

My Windows XP recently crashed while using a HP psc 2210
(all in one device) - my fonts were corrupted. I
reinstalled Windows XP to restore the fonts. Now I am
not able to totally uninstall the HP psc 2210. I get
error code 1316. Can anyone help me with this issue. I
spent a great deal of time with HP tech support, but HP
told me it was a Windows issue. Thanks.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one having
problems with my HP psc2210 and Windows XP. I received
error 1312 (which says a file already exist and delete or
rename it). I also spent many hours on the phone with HP
TEch Support and that were not of any help. I can get my
printer portion to load but not any of the other
functions. I found that when I unistalled HP it did not
totally unistall (even with their Scrubber/Uninstaller).
I even went through regedit (from run)and manually
deleted anything that referred to HP, but that didn't
help. I even downloaded the drivers from the HP website.
Then I went to update them and was told by the update
that I had the incorrect drivers loaded. I asked there
was a conflict between the psc2210 and Windows XP. They
told me there wasn't. But they did ask if I had
installed XP Service Pack 1A, because supposively that
would fix the problem. If you find out how to totally
uninstall HP let me know.
