Error 0xc011011 in TS Licensing

Hans Kristiansen

Hi -

I'm getting the above message when I try to activate my
Windows 2000 Terminal Server Licensing server. The
accompanying error message is: "The licensing wizard
encountered an internal error from the license server.
Message number: 0xc0110011."

I have SP4 and all other updates installed. The error
occors if I try to activate and also if I just want to
see "properties" for the server.

Does anybody have an idea to what could cause this?

Are you trying to activate the LS through an rdp session? Do you get
the same problem when you use the console of the LS?
Anything in the EventLog at boot time or when you try to activate the
LS?

Good questions. Through an rdp session, and there are no
more licenses left to give out, so maybe this has
something to do with it. The eventlog says it can not
hand out any more licenses. I am not currently in a
position to make the attempt at the console, but will get
to it later.

Thanks.

Hans.

I am getting the same error and I get it from an RDp session or the console. Mine is saying the database is corrupted and cannot add a certificate to the store. I can't reactivate because I keep getting the error trying to go into the wizard.

This error message can happen if the terminal server licensing database has
become corrupt.

Usually it requires an uninstall and reinstall of terminal server licensing.

Thank you,
Aimme

I'm having this same problem at the moment. Did you
resolve this error and if so how?
