I'm trying to install Vista Beta 2 but get the following message even though
I have 480MB free on C:

------------------------------------
Your system partition does not have enough free space

Windows installation needs at least 436 megabytes (MB) of free space on your
system partition (C). Free some space on your system partition.

If you are desperate to get it installed, try changing page file to another
place with more space, boot, and then hope there is enough space ....

Page file is already on a different partition

a geeky thing to do is to get Junction from sysinternals and use it to
redirect folders to other partitions after move. Entire Program Files should
be possible but may need to be done in from under another OS so first try
just move the biggest ones like any games installed under program files.

warning: it hasn't happened to me but if no attention is paid to the
junctions it's possible to do a mistake that may cause data loss. use -D to
delete the link.. never forget this

if you have extra space you can create re-parse points too with diskmgmt
