erratic display

I am starting to have problem with my laptop display that become unstable at
time . It makes stikes on the color like a bad contact somewhere . What
could it be the video card , the driver for that card or the connection
between the laptop body and the screen itself ??? Please guide me where to
start and what to eliminate

Random problems are usually caused by failing hardware. Since this is a
laptop, you should call the laptop mftr.'s tech support for
repair/replacement.
