Equations Result in 0

Hi,

I have had these worksheets with varying equations ranging from al
sorts of complexity, from simple SUM and DATEDIF functions to triple I
conditions. These worksheets have been working for months flawlessly
however, recently when I do anything in my excel books, I have run int
quite the situation. Everytime I click on a cell with a formula o
function, and I press enter afterwards, the value returned becomes
'0' instead of what value it should result in. Or if I decide I want t
change the formula to refer to another cell in part of the formula
again the resulting value in the cell becomes a '0'. I dont understan
what is going on. Any insight would be extremely helpful.

Thanks

When you left-click on a cell containing a formula, look at the Formula Bar.
Does it show the formula, or is it blank, or does it contain a
zero?..........unless it's the formula, your Mouse is probably inadvertantly
inserting either a blank, or zero into the cell just by clicking on it, and
the pressing of Enter just sets it........if this is the case, you may need a
new mouse, and/or a new mouse driver.

Chuck,

I understood your response and I checked, but to no avail. When I lef
click to see if there is a formula there, there is, and its correct. I
I double-click to see cells referenced, and then press Enter, I get
'0' in the cell. The formula, even after the 0 is shown as the answer
is still the original formula, nothing has changed. But for som
reason, the outputs are haywire.

Could I send the file over for someone to take a look? I am reall
stumped

Sure, you can send to my home addy...."croberts at tampabay dot rr dot com"
........I'll do what I can.

Is this problem just with this file, or with all files on your computer
now?......does this file act like this on another computer?

I looked at the file, and the problem does not show up here. If I were you,
before I reinstalled Excel, I think I would try another mouse and another
keyboard.

Sorry, wish I could have been of more help.
