Equation Problems

I am working on a report and having problems with an
equation. I am trying to take a handful of fields and sum
them. When I go to run the report, it doesn't work. The
fields are called things like "MFM - Decatur." Is it
possible that the "-" is causing the problem?

It depends on your syntax. What is the exact expression?

Having field names like MFM - Decatur seems to suggest normalization
problems. I could be wrong.
