Windows XP Epson Smart Panel

I'm using an Epson Perfection 2580 scanner creating a jpeg. Whenever a scan is completed, PhotoImpressions is launched. I don't want anything launched. I've searched high and low and can not find where I can override this launch. Any suggestions?
